Fundraising Gillian Reckitt

Having moved to Whitstable some 15 years ago, after some busy years running a cafe in the town Gillian decided she would like to pursue one of her interests, singing. In London she was a VERY poor alto in the third Morley College choir, and it was only when the choir master pointed out that one of the altos was singing an octave below everyone else that she realised that her time was up! However, after hearing one of the Oyster Singers concerts in Whitstable she plucked up the courage to ask the Musical Director if she might join the choir as a tenor. And the rest is history, except that she found that she couldn't sing tenor either - so now, along with another lady friend, she has joined the basses in the Oyster Singers, where she has a lot of fun and plenty of laughs.
